Role Summary:
This position is to provide on-the-ground commissioning and start-up of a new Plant Nutritionals facility in Türkiye. All products produced will be liquid fertilizers. The initial assignment will be for 3 months in Arkansas. This will provide training on the process and provide an opportunity to thoroughly learn the manufacturing process to support in Türkiye. The role will then relocate to an international location to provide the required Project commissioning and start-up process engineering support. The intent is for the Role at the international location to end once they have produced at least one batch of each scheduled product that meets all product release quality specifications.
The Role will receive support from the Client Manufacturing Team, including the Plant Engineer, and the Loveland, Colorado, based client Project Engineering Team.
Role Deliverables: Champion SHE to ensure project commissioning and start-up is completed safely without incident. Meet with the commissioning and start-up Teams daily to review SHE concerns and perform field safety audits.Become a technical expert in the production of all client products that will be transferred to the international location. This includes knowledge of the raw materials, knowledge of the batch processing steps, knowledge of the automation and controls systems employed, and knowledge of solids and liquid material handling.Provide general process engineering support in conjunction with commissioning and start-up troubleshooting as required.Participate remotely on the Client Engineering Team through the Project Design and Procurement phases to review Engineering documentation and provide technical assurance for designs, piping configurations, equipment specifications, etc.Be the on-the-ground focal point in the international location for any Engineering issues that arise during start-up and engage the US Engineering Team as required to resolve.Identify any process improvement opportunities during the Start-up phase and engage project to pursue as warranted.Communicate any learnings or best practices from the new international project facility that would provide benefits for the US project Sites.Other duties as assigned.Requested Experience: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with >15 years of experience at a manufacturing or processing facility (oil, gas, chemical, food, or beverage).PSM experience especially regarding Process Safety Information, Management-of-Change and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.Experience in new Plant or Facilities commissioning and start-up a plus.Experience with packaging systems, tote handling, and process automation a plus.
