In this role, your primary job responsibilities would include: improvement of process efficiency and control, refinement of QC/QA procedures, and process design for various customer and internal projects. · Oversight and management of specialty chemical production processes & associated personnel · Continuous improvement and automation of manufacturing processes · Technical report writing, process documentation, & technical presentations Preferred Qualifications and Experience · B.S. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree applicants encouraged · 5+ years of industrial experience in process engineering and design · Solid understanding of process engineering principles (mass balance, energy balance, bottleneck analysis, value stream mapping) · Familiarity with materials science concepts is a plus · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Critical and creative analytical abilities · Diligent work ethic, both independently and as a team member · Attention to laboratory safety practices · Outstanding interpersonal skills · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) · Experience with automation and/or programming (e.g., ladder logic PLC programming, sensors, control schemes, motion control, power distribution, Python, LabView) · Experience with advanced software (e.g., CAD, Igor, Adobe Illustrator, ImageJ, Microsoft Visio) · Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management system Applied Thin Films, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
