About the role:
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Procurement, responsible for partnering and collaborating with staff to research, evaluate and procure goods, services, supplies and equipment based on price, service, quality, and warranty to ensure compliance with the guidelines. Perform procurement analysis and activities and communicate the procurement process and opportunities. Ability to work independently while employing integrity and sound business decisions to solve problems and implement solutions.
What you'll do:
Day to day management and training of procurement processes and systems, such as Concur, GEP, Netsuite and SimplyLegal, etc.
Develop reports and dashboards to assist Procurement and Finance leadership in decision making progress in contract and vendor management, spend categories, and identify savings opportunities.
Assist with month end procurement reporting to other business groups.
Collaborate and assist staff in developing specifications, prepare procurement solicitations (Bids RFP's, RFQ's) help guide the procurement process and ensure appropriate methods are adhered.
Provide operational support for key procurement finance tools, such as Concur, GEP, and Simple Legal
Develop reports and dashboards to assist Procurement and Finance leadership aid in contract management, spend, and vendor management
Analyze procurement data and reports to create and establish procurement and compliance dashboard reports
Review and approve procurement documentation over $1K submitted within procurement systems for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with procurement manual
Conduct and provide procurement finance tools training.
Manage and administer procurement internal document website
Provide direction and oversight to staff on procurement related matters
Partner with staff to understand procurement needs and create spending plan
Determine and implement the appropriate method of procurement to secure the requested service, commodity or supplies as requested.
Evaluate and determine the most responsive and responsible vendor that meets selection criteria based on selected procurement method.
Assist in coordination and facilitate procurement workshops as deemed necessary.
Research sources of supply and analyze the market based upon requested commodity or service
Provide guidance and assistance to business group in resolving issues between supplier and business group regarding service, cost, and delivery.
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding procurement and project matters
Perform other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Purchasing, Business Operations, Accounting, Project Management, and Customer Service in a non-profit and/or government environment.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related area work experience.
Knowledge and understanding of procurement methods, principles and terminology.
Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skilled in project management, provide excellent customer service, and meet project deadlines.
Ability and skills to use sound business judgement and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to identify processes needing improvement and make recommendations.
Strong and proficient computer skills using Windows-based programs.
