Job Purpose and OverviewThe Senior Product Designer is responsible for ensuring a consistent user experience and application of Appfire standards across Appfire's product portfolio. In this critical role, you will play a key part in defining, shaping and creating solutions by delivering outstanding user-centered designs. The Senior Product Designer will support and report to the Sr. Manager, Design Systems and will work with a multi-disciplinary design team as well as major stakeholders from product, engineering, and other areas of the business. Your mission will be to work with product design teams and leadership to create and deliver a strategic design vision for next generation product experiences at Appfire.What You Will DoWork with product leadership to create a unified design view of Appfire's product capabilities Identify success metrics ensuring design solutions continue to deliver customer valueLead strategic vision and conceptual design outcomes at the portfolio level, which will provide a clear direction for our customer experiences across Appfire's product landscapePropose new areas of work aimed at customer needs with compelling reasoning based on goals, constraints, and risks, and execute on themPerform competitive analysis, market assessments and heuristic evaluations Drive design reviews, design critiques and act as a design craft leader, coaching and mentoring other designers to ensure consistent and cohesive product experiencesCreate artifacts to communicate the recommended user experience to internal stakeholders and development teams - such as project briefs, presentations, user flows, site maps, taxonomies, etc. Collaborate with Appfire's research team on research studies to understand customer behavior, refine design approaches, and validate solutions. Strategize with product team members to act on research findings. Build meaningful relationships with a cross-functional team that includes developers, product managers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders. What We Would Like To SeeStrong portfolio demonstrating multiple shipped products, preferably mid- to large product-forward software engineering organizationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, HCI, or related field7+ years of relevant experience2+ years designing products in agile/developer-focused tooling or complex platforms Experience with strategic implementation of Enterprise software in a SaaS environment or with complex enterprise products UX prototyping experience with tools like FigmaExperience in design systems, the ability to identify common components required to support a wide array of customer use cases. A passion for storytelling, and the ability to bring design direction to life with user journeys, personas, scenarios, navigational maps, flow diagrams, wireframes and prototypes Building presentations that demonstrate structured ideation, aimed at solving business and end-user problemsPlanning and running research activities and synthesizing the results into actionable plans Expert level knowledge of Design Thinking principles and comfortable leading Cross-Functional Design Thinking exercises.
