Position Summary:
We are looking for a visionary Senior Product Manager with a minimum of 7+ years in Product Management, ideally with significant experience in senior leadership roles. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in market research, competitive analysis, and business case development, demonstrating outstanding cross-functional leadership and strategic project management capabilities. Extensive knowledge of industries such as paint, design, fashion, photography, video, film, broadcast, content creation, or consumer electronics is essential, along with relevant certifications such as PMP, CSPO, or Six Sigma. A proven track record in driving product innovation and delivering market-leading solutions is critical. This position offers an opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment at our Lawrenceville, NJ office with a hybrid schedule on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Strategy Leadership:
Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Datacolor's business objectives and market opportunities. Drive long-term product vision and strategic direction.
Portfolio Management:
Oversee the entire product life-cycle, including phase-in/phase-out and portfolio optimization. Ensure products meet industry standards and development gate processes.
Organizational Excellence:
Manage multiple high-priority projects with strong organizational skills. Ensure timely delivery of product development milestones and overcome setbacks through effective stakeholder collaboration.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Lead cross-functional teams in technical environments to deliver successful products.
Market and Competitive Analysis:
Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Develop data-driven business cases to support strategic decisions.
Consumer Insights and Positioning:
Leverage consumer insights to develop compelling value propositions and effective product positioning. Ensure products meet customer needs and drive market demand.
Technical Expertise:
Partner closely with engineering teams to understand and influence the technical aspects of product development. Drive innovation through technical excellence and a deep understanding of product functionalities.
Experience & Qualifications:
You have:
Minimum of 7 years in product management.
Strong understanding of product life-cycle management, including phase-in/phase-out and portfolio optimization.
Demonstrated experience in executing strategic product visions aligned with company goals.
Proven track record in market research, competitive analysis, data analysis, and business case development.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams in technical environments.
Skill in extracting consumer insights to develop value propositions.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Technical aptitude with experience working closely with engineering teams.
A plus if you have:
In-depth knowledge of industries such as paint, design, fashion, photography, video, film, broadcast, or consumer electronics.
Direct experience in relevant industries, particularly with products like color matching or monitor calibration.
Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools.
Experience in global market product management.
Track record of driving product innovation.
Relevant certifications (PMP, CSPO, Six Sigma).
