Description
Amazon is looking for a dynamic, self-starting Senior Product Manager for Inbound Orchestration and Feasible Inbound Planning and Execution to own a core piece of a large multi-year strategic initiative.
By fostering collaboration and alignment between internal supply chain operations teams (Inbound/Outbound Supply Chain Execution, Amazon Transportation, NACF Operations) and cross-functional partners (Demand Planning, Inventory Management, SCOT, Finance, FBA & Retail), the Senior Product Manager will drive Amazon to an end-to-end, more capacity constraint-aware inbound process.
The Senior Product Manager will optimize products and develop the strategy and solution roadmap to bring improved planning and execution across the inbound supply chain through capacity constraint awareness.
An ideal candidate has a passion for learning, thinking backward from the customer, and delivering innovative solutions.
Key job responsibilities
Partner with teams across the business you support (and beyond) to source, allocate, and coordinate resources.
Partner with internal/external teams to determine which projects move forward and in what priority order.
Oversee performance gaps between teams, processes, and systems, reducing points of failure.
Influence cross-functionally with and without authority by using data to drive optimal business outcomes.
Create accurate resource capacity representations, enabling efficient inbound volume allocation and steering through buying/placement systems in coordination with SCOT teams to achieve the right inbound freight mix across sites.
Work with Product Managers, key business leaders, and tech partner teams to communicate and impact critical business initiatives.
Engage with other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end-to-end outcomes for Amazon customers.
A day in the life
Each day with the Inbound Orchestration team is Day 1!
The Senior Product Manager will delve into Amazon's inbound network and systems, identifying opportunities to improve performance and alignment across systems impacting metrics such as inbound speed (Mean Days Processing Delay), variable cost per unit (VCPU), capacity and resource utilization, inventory placement, First Pass Yield, and more.
You will determine where bottlenecks exist and identify new and creative solutions to avoid or mitigate defects within the Inbound Supply Chain.
You will integrate these solutions with our operations and tech teams cross-functionally to improve overall inbound performance and reduce costs.
About the team
The Inbound Network Orchestration team is building systems and capabilities to ensure we deliver inbound freight quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively.
Through the Feasible Inbound Planning and Execution workstream, we will unify the vision for the inbound network orchestration by bringing together stakeholder groups, designing a cohesive approach to optimizing the end-to-end inbound flow, and bringing capacity constraint awareness to inbound at Amazon.
