The Technical Product Manager is responsible for the complete lifecycle management of specific software products, ensuring their alignment with strategic goals, market needs, and technological advancements. The Technical Product Manager collaborates closely with R&D, sale teams, and market stakeholders to ensure the product's success and competitiveness.
We are seeking a Product Manager to join the Software Platform's In-Home Management group. This team focuses on management systems for Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) deployed at end-users' premises to implement their local networks, with a focus on real-time monitoring, telemetry, and troubleshooting.
This domain is dynamic and fast-paced, with a strong emphasis on ensuring high-quality user experiences for applications such as Cloud Gaming, AR/VR/XR, and others. The ideal candidate will have experience in networking, particularly with Wi-Fi, as it is the preferred medium for end-users.
Key Responsibilities: Define and develop product strategy, roadmap, and delivery guidelines in alignment with company goalsDevelop business cases for new product initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and ROI projectionsConduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threatsDevelop innovative solutions to maintain a competitive advantage and improve customer experienceEnsure the product delivers exceptional user experience and value to customersPrioritize features, define product vision, and ensure alignment with business objectivesGather and document detailed product requirements from stakeholders, including customers, sales, and support teamsTranslate business needs into technical specifications for the development teamManage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic goalsCollaborate closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.Conduct product demos and training sessions for internal teams and customersAct as the primary liaison between technical and non-technical teamsCommunicate product updates, progress, and plans to all relevant stakeholdersStay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practicesMinimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field8+ years of experience in product management, specifically in software products OR 10+ years of experience in a technical role offering solutions for Communications Service Providers, specifically in software productsStrong technical background with a deep understanding of Cloud technologies, APIs, and Data analyticsNetworking end-to-end, from the end-user device to the content stored in the cloudAbility to develop and implement innovative solutionsAgility to align product strategies with market and customer needsProven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management toolsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical and technical stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approachAbility to work effectively in cross-functional teamsWilling to dive into the details of complex problems, including some troubleshooting of customer systems to understand how to better improve the productExperience with SaaS products and cloud-based platformsKnowledge of UI/UX design principles and user-centered designPreferred Qualifications: Proficient in all things related to the delivery of broadband services and the implementation of the in-home network, such as Wireless technologies with an emphasis on Wi-Fi and the different generations from state-of-the-art Wi-Fi 7 to legacy 802.11b/g, In-home CPE management solutions like TR-069, TR-369, and IoT-related products like MQTT, WebSockets, etc., Residential Gateways, Access Technologies like Fiber point to point and point to multipoint, COAX, hybrid networks, etc., Certification in Product Management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Marketing)
