POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall supervision of grant-funded, outcomes-based year-round and Summer youth development and employment program for high school youth. Is responsible for maintaining the program's budget, hiring and management of staff, tracking progress towards outcomes and writing reports. In addition, will identify and secure job placement sites for youth, monitor work site performance and manage relationship with work site employers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ability to administer outcomes-based youth programs, including activities, staff and budget.Proven ability to work with people from a variety of different ethnic, socioeconomic, educational, religious, sexual, and generational backgrounds.Ability to develop effective partnerships that enhance the program and provide an enriching experience for student participants.Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Exchange and Google Platform; use of spreadsheet software such as Excel; use of online reporting systems for data entry.Ability to write and communicate clearly and effectively.Oversee high quality, developmentally appropriate high-school programs that aligns with grant requirements.Hire, develop, appraise, discipline and approve time and attendance for employees.Monitor staff hours and program spending to meet the grant budget.Provide data and narrative reports to meet weekly and quarterly reporting requirements.Seek, develop and maintain relationships with partners that grow and sustain the program.Attend and contribute to meetings and hold effective staff meetings.Commitment to professional development and staff training.Travel to respective counties for grant funder meetings, site visits including Wilde Lake, regular programming, trainings, etc.QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Human Services focus preferred.
Experience: Two years of experience in partnership building. Familiarity and experience working with the target population. Developing and maintaining partnerships.
