This full-time position will play a critical role in leading new product development and modifications for LED lighting solutions tailored to school buses and commercial vehicles. \n What you will get to do:Lead and coordinate critical new product developments and modifications with multi-disciplinary teams and customers.Design creation and update of electrical and mechanical products, overseeing the process from concept to production.Create and release product drawings, specifications, and certifications while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and industry standards.Manage APQP deliverables, including Design Reviews, DFMEA, and DVP/DVPR.Serve as the technical interface for OEM and distributor customers.Support sales, customer service, and production teams with secondary technical expertise.Assist with problem-solving, troubleshooting, and implementing engineering changes.Document and store engineering deliverables using SharePoint and ERP/MRP/PLM systems.Mentor new team members and contribute to workflow improvement initiatives. What will make you successful:Bachelors degree in Engineering 10+ years of experience in Product/Project Engineering, preferably in the automotive, aerospace, or medical industries.Hands-on experience with 3D CAD software (eDrawings, SolidWorks, or EAGLE preferred), ERP systems, and detailed product design.General electrical and mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting principles and use of basic tools.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.Self-motivated and detail-oriented problem solver with a high degree of accountability.
