Description
The Finance Operations (FinOps) Business Partnership (BP) team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will be a key member of the Global Transportation BP team.
This individual will be responsible for driving the order-to-cash (O2C) performance across multiple Transportation businesses.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining operational and business metrics and targets, assessing priority areas for the business, driving global operational reviews, as well as owning improvements to achieve targets.
As a business partner, you will work daily alongside Accounts Receivable, Service Centers, Sales, Finance, Legal, Accounting, Tech, Customers, and other operational groups at all levels in a global environment.
Complex problem solving, program and change management, and analytical skills are required to manage multiple high visibility priorities in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.
Key job responsibilities
- Define key performance indicators develop operational and business metrics and service level agreements for programs and processes, and track delivery against global objectives.
- Consolidate inputs, and challenge assumptions, on performance drivers and projections from stakeholders
- Develop and maintain effective partnership between Finance Operations, Service Centers and Transportation businesses.
- Obtain and summarize critical data sets to trace defect areas to primary root cause drivers, scope future state solutions, influence road map decisions and measure the effectiveness of solutions that are implemented over time
- Solve critical customer, process and system escalations effectively to ensure root cause analysis and effective problem resolution.
- Identify and quantify financial and operational risks and opportunities
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
