We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Manager with substantial expertise in the construction industry, particularly in managing multifamily projects valued at $20M and above. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in managing complex projects from planning through to completion. Client Details Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Maryland. As a well-known General Contractor in the region, they are dedicated to delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget. They operate across a number of markets including Automotive, Education, Grocery, Healthcare, Industrial, Interiors, Mixed-Use/Multifamily and Senior Living. Description Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a diverse team of construction professionals, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment to achieve project goals. Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and ensuring financial accountability. Implement cost-saving measures and value engineering strategies as needed. Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets or exceeds quality standards and adheres to project specifications. Conduct regular site inspections and address any non-compliance issues. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions. Proactively address challenges and implement solutions to keep projects on track. Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations, change orders, and subcontractor agreements. Ensure that all contractual obligations are met and documented accurately. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, and financial records. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders. Profile Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required. Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. Experience working with a General Contractor is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and Excel. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and make informed decisions under pressure. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Licenses/Certifications: PMP certification and OSHA 30-hour certification are preferred but not required.
