Trissential is seeking a

Senior Project Manager

to join our client team onsite in

Northern Minnesota.

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end implementation of a Labor Management System (LMS) across a large-scale distribution center, impacting over 2,000 employees. You will be responsible for driving project success by managing vendor relationships, overseeing the RFP selection process, developing engineering standards, and optimizing processes to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management within distribution centers or labor management environments, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You thrive in fast-paced settings, excel at coordinating cross-functional teams, and have exceptional skills in managing project risks, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and ensuring financial accountability. This role is open only to candidates authorized to work and reside in the US.

Responsibilities

Lead the successful implementation of a Labor Management System (LMS) across the distribution center, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and achieving project goals

Oversee vendor management and guide the RFP selection process for choosing a labor management product

Develop and establish engineering standards for various roles within the distribution center, including Pick/Pack rates, Receiving rates, and other operational benchmarks

Create and maintain detailed project plans using tools like MS Project, covering schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management

Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure all project requirements and milestones are met

Provide technical and operational guidance to project teams, promoting a collaborative and results-driven work environment

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle

Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, financial records, and project plans, and provide regular updates to senior management

Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and financial accountability

Drive continuous process optimization and support training initiatives for supervisors and staff

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred

Extensive experience in project management, particularly in labor management or distribution center operations

Strong understanding of financial management, with proven experience managing project budgets

In-depth knowledge of project management best practices and standards

Essential skills

Expertise in implementing Labor Management Systems (LMS) and managing projects within distribution centers

Strong proficiency in project management tools, such as MS Project

Excellent risk management, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement abilities

Superior communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills with keen attention to detail

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure

Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex project dynamics

Desired skills

Experience in the logistics or distribution industry

Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools

Experience in training and development, particularly for supervisory roles

Experience

5-7 years of experience managing complex projects, preferably within labor management or distribution center environments

Demonstrated success in overseeing large-scale projects and driving them to completion in fast-paced settings

Proven track record in financial management and budget oversight

Benefits

Trissential offers a competitive compensation package for full time roles. The hourly pay range for this role is $85 to $95 depending on candidate's qualifications and experience. This role is eligible for benefits and includes options for medical, dental, vision, and tele-health benefits; Health Savings Account with company contribution; up to 48 hours of accrued paid safe and sick time, and 401k retirement savings.
