Overview
Ant Yapi is one of the world`s largest general contracting companies which is mainly active in European countries.
As a part of the U.S. expansion plans, the company seeks a Construction Project Manager to join its construction management team for unique residential-hospitality projects in NYC.
Responsibilities
* Being responsible with the project from the pre-construction phase to contract close out.
* Being part of the design review team during the pre-construction phase and lead Value Engineering studies
* Assisting the Owner and the expeditors for the permitting and filing matters.
* Developing logistics plan
* Assisting company executives and employees in all construction related activities such as budget estimates, project schedules, buy outs, labor matters, finance and accounting.
Establishing the final project budget, validating project budget at agreed-upon project milestones and controlling scope and cost to keep project within the limits of agreed upon
* Establishing a procedure for selecting contractors based on reputation, specialty, references and prior experience
* Reviewing all project forecasts, schedules, cost estimates, financial reports and warning related parties for the all deviations.
* Leading the project team during the construction to meet the schedule, budget and quality expectations.
* Reviewing and approving all major purchase orders, change orders and contractor/vendor requisitions as prepared by the project staff.
* Attending to the meetings with the Owner, contractors and design team to review the following: shop drawings, procurements, manpower projections.
* Conducting client meetings to review project progress
* Obtaining approvals for changes to the project that have been generated by the project team.
* Overseeing the relevant inspection preparations
* Obtaining client's acceptance of the work, and sign-off for the completed project.
* Being responsible for the preparation and submission of the final project report
Qualifications
* BS in Construction Management or Engineering
* Min.
10 years experience in the New York City construction industry; Owner's Project Manager experience is plus
* New York City residential experience a plus;
* Strong working knowledge of all building trades;
* Strong Problem Solving skills;
* Good communicator;
* Computer proficiency;
* Knowledge of local building codes, standards and regulation;
* Site Safety Manager or Construction Site Fire Safety Manager License preferred;
