We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with experience managing Water and Wastewater projects to join our team in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Responsibilities
We are in search of a dynamic individual with strong client interaction skills who can manage and lead teams for multi-discipline projects and work programs in water/wastewater treatment projects, water and wastewater pumping systems, and large-diameter conveyance (water distribution and wastewater collection) in Oregon.
As a Practice Builder, you will run your business within our business with all the resources and horsepower of a 7,000+ person, privately held, one-profit center growth-focused firm behind you.
The Senior Project Manager (or Practice Builder) will have an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for the local water resource practice and beyond.
Markets are not limited by geography but are driven by relationships.
The successful candidate will be given significant autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business.
Accounting, administrative, marketing, recruiting, IT, and production support will be provided.
With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of a performance-based work environment and can advance to ownership.
Qualifications
* 12+ years of experience in civil engineering and design, with a significant portion spent directly managing utility water projects, preferably within Minnesota or the Midwest region.
* Established client contacts and relationships with local municipalities, area counties, water management authorities, and local, regional, and state agencies within the Midwest region.
* Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.)
license in the State of Minnesota, or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
* Demonstrated business development skills with a proven track record of winning work in the water/wastewater treatment sector.
* Experience in drafting proposals, developing scopes of work, and creating budgets for prospective projects.
* Exceptional communication skills, capable of effective interaction at all levels of our organization.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and positively influence staff and direct resources effectively.
* Proven track record of managing water/wastewater treatment projects profitably.
* Cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience, with the ability to promote cross-selling of multiple disciplines.
* Proven experience in providing vision, business planning, and strategy for practice growth
* A commitment to operating with integrity and upholding sound business principles.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive client relationships, identify and track leads, make impactful presentations, and secure new business opportunities.
* Commitment to ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables and supervising the execution of work.
