Job Description The growing LEGO team in Boston is looking for a Senior Project Procurement Leader who is passionate about creating the next generation of Play Technology! We need an experienced cross-functional collaborator to deliver thoughtful recommendations while navigating complex scenarios and a wide field of stakeholders. The person in this role will need to be available late nights and early mornings, as this team's partners are located in Asia and Europe.
Core Responsibilities Be the Project Procurement Leader embedded in the Technology Development organization (with report within the procurement organization).Collaborate as part of the project team to develop State of the art Technology-enabled toys.Be the one point of contact on behalf of the project team towards the procurement engineering subject matter experts and the manufacturing organization.Participate and lead activities with internal project team members including Quality, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production and external component suppliers and electronics manufacturing partner, to ensure optimal key component choices and manufacturing set up.Drive and own the business engagement model decision with all external partners on behalf of the project.Provide expert partner & supplier management, budget management, cost negotiations and drive Statement of work document with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure that a holistic approach is taken, so that Cost, Total Cost of Ownership, Risk, Environmental footprint, Manufacturability and Supply chain setup are concurrently quantified and considered, alongside other aspects of the projects.Do your part in our team succeeding The mission of procurement is to ensure global supply base operational excellence while complying to LEGO requirements. This role focuses on supporting the product development of tech components from design to mass production, working with both internal and external partners to deliver the project objectives.
Do you have what it takes? 7+ years relevant working experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and project management.Understanding of engineering and electronics manufacturing processes.Supplier management experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.Strong negotiation, communication, influencing and problem solving skills with ability to create and manage supplier and stakeholder relationships.Proven experience in cost modeling and cost structure.Familiar with New Product Introduction (NPI) procurement activities.Experience within mechatronics products is an advantage.Availability late nights and early mornings, as this team's partners are located in Asia and Europe.Willingness and ability to travel.New Location Update This position will initially be based at our LEGO office at either Boylston St or St. James, Back Bay, Boston before moving to a new central Boston office location by the end of 2026. Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $120,500 - $180,700 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
