Your RoleWe're looking for a Sr. QA Engineer to join our rapidly growing team and help uplevel our product quality. The ideal candidate will have a background in a technical field, have strong Test Engineering or QA experience, and have worked with 80+ person engineering teams. You are methodical, a self-starter, and passionate about quality, which is key to the growth and success of a product.
You WillCreate, execute, and maintain test plans thoroughly to qualify product releases and featuresReport bugs and errors using Asana with in-depth details to help the engineering team identify and fix the issueConduct root cause analysis on bugs and refine test plans to prevent similar future bugsWork closely with engineering and product teams on troubleshooting as well as new test case developmentConduct exploratory testing to find new edge cases / bugs, and further enrich our test plansCreate and support test dashboards/reportsDevelop and update automated tests for Zip's evergreen flowsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience4+ years in Quality Engineering and/or test engineering experienceExperience with QA process, methodologies, and test case management tools such as TestRailExperience in Python, Javascript, Java, or equivalent coding languageExperience with automated e2e test frameworks like PlayWright or CypressExperience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholdersNice to HavesExperience thriving in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment that demands constant self-prioritization is a plusExperience in project management approaches, tools, and phases of a project life cycle is a plusThe salary range for this role is $130,000 - $170,000. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.
