We are seeking an accomplishedSenior Quality Assurance Engineerto join our team in the testing and verification of the software that drives the content collection and curation efforts across our organization (Homes.com, Costar.com, Apartments.com, LoopNet.com). QA Engineers are responsible for writing test cases that ensure compliance with acceptance criteria developed during sprint planning, ensuring adequate product testing prior to each release, and tracking bugs and retesting as bugs are fixed.
This positionis located inour Washington, DC office and offers a schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
Responsibilities
Ensures that products conform to business requirements/company policies, software quality standards, and establishedprocedures
Confirms that testable systems are specified,designedandimplemented
Designs,documentsand implements procedures and techniques that are consistent with departmental SQA Methodology for analyzing, testing, and evaluating the risk (software & business), accuracy, completeness, internalintegrity/consistency,testabilityand overall quality of business systems and SDLCprocesses
Creates and maintains SQA deliverables including test plans, test cases, test data, project test progress and release reports, application turnover documents and testschedules
Recommends andassistsin corrective actions taken at all stages of product lifecycle
Submits and tracks production (maintenance) and release issues in their respectivesystems
Developsfunctional automated testsand curates automated regression testsuites
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor'sdegree in information systems, computer science, or related field, from an accredited, not for profit university or college
5+ years industry experience as a software quality assurance test engineer
5+ years of experience with functional testing either manually or via automation tools
Hands on experience in automation and good understanding of automation testing strategies and tools
Hands on experience designing,developing, implementingfunctional automated testsusinganATDD styleapproachusing toolssuch asPlaywright/Gherkin/Cucumber
Comfortable writing software to implementfunctional automated tests usingwell known designpatterns
A basic understanding ofJavaScript/TypeScriptfundamentals
Knowledgeable testingAPIsand familiar with tools such as Postman
An understanding of quality assurance testingmethodologies, deliverables, processes, strategies, metrics,techniquesand the software development life cycle (SDLC) iscritical
Experience creatingfunctional/integrationAPIlayertests
Experience creating and delivery automated test in an Agileenvironment
Experience testing mission-critical relational database applications, and web-based enterprise systems
Experience reporting,regressingand reproducing software problems.
Experience with testing/debugging tools including Chrome Debugger, Postman, Fiddler, Kibana
Strong working knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases with relational databases (administration and T-SQL)
Track recordof commitment to prior employers
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communicationskills (to both business and technical partners)
Experiencedesigning andimplementing automated tests using:Playwright,CucumberJS,Selenium,Gherkin,and/orCyoress
Experience creating functional automated tests in an Agileenvironment
Experience with writing T-SQL queries and/or MongoDB queries
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Codeand TFS.
Capacityto effectivelyinterfacewith dynamic developmentteams
Ability to prioritize, multi-task andbeproactive

This position offers a base salary range of $110,100 -167,200 based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
