Senior Reliability Engineer

Job Description – Systems Reliability Engineer Lead the design, integration, troubleshooting, and testing of a complex instrument comprising optical, electrical, mechanical, and fluidic modules and subsystems. Drive the analysis of complex system issues to help define the integration and test strategy. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and analyze system issues involving optics, fluidics, precision motion, and thermal control. Assess risks and reliability of complex instruments. Support System Reliability Modeling with data inputs and design details. Analyze system failure data to improve reliability metrics like Uptime, MTBF, and MTBR. Propose design changes to enhance instrument robustness. Develop performance evaluation criteria. Conduct root cause analysis and failure mode and effects analysis. Create and deliver reliability test plans and reports. Qualifications: Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Optical Engineering, Physics, Bioengineering, or related field. Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus. 10+ years of experience in integrating complex electro-mechanical instruments. Knowledge of fluidics design and integration. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams. Experience in designing and debugging complex hardware. Familiarity with manufacturing tests and scripting languages. Proficient in reading technical schematics and drawings. Experience with test equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and laser power meters.
