Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to fully understand project requirements.
Analyze historical data, unit rates, and current market trends to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather necessary information for cost estimations.
Prepare comprehensive bid packages, cost reports, and supporting documentation for presentation to clients and stakeholders.
Review and evaluate subcontractor bids, ensuring they align with project goals and budget constraints.
Monitor and update cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle to ensure they reflect any scope changes, material price fluctuations, or unforeseen circumstances.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior estimators, reviewing their work and offering guidance on estimating best practices.
Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and client presentations as required to support the accuracy of estimates and project proposals.
Work closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution.
Stay up to date with changes in industry standards, building codes, and market conditions to improve the accuracy of future estimates.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on large or complex projects.
Proficiency in estimating software (such as ProEst, PlanSwift, OnScreen, or Bluebeam) and other construction management tools.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and industry standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to present information clearly to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Candidates based in Miami are preferred.
