Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Salesforce Technical Consultant for a multitude of external opportunities. This role will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining Salesforce solutions that drive business growth and efficiency. As a Senior Salesforce Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for defining the overall architecture and design for a Salesforce ecosystem, including integration with other enterprise systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and other IT professionals to deliver robust and scalable solutions that meet our business needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture Design and Strategy
Develop and articulate the overall Salesforce architecture strategy in alignment with business objectives.
Define technical solutions and architecture standards, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.
Lead the evaluation and selection of new Salesforce features and tools to enhance our ecosystem.
2. Solution Development and Implementation
Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions, including data models, integration, and migration strategies.
Provide technical leadership in the configuration and customization of Salesforce solutions.
Oversee the development of complex applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
3. Integration and Data Management
Design and implement robust integration solutions between Salesforce and other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, Marketing Automation, etc.).
Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance within Salesforce, implementing appropriate data management strategies.
Lead data migration efforts from legacy systems to Salesforce.
4. Technical Leadership and Collaboration
Mentor and guide junior Salesforce developers and administrators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other IT professionals, to ensure successful project delivery.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Salesforce, providing technical guidance and best practice recommendations.
5. Performance and Security
Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Salesforce applications to ensure high availability and reliability.
Implement and enforce security best practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits of the Salesforce environment.
6. Documentation and Governance
Maintain comprehensive documentation of the Salesforce architecture, design, and implementation processes.
Establish and enforce governance frameworks to ensure consistent and effective use of the Salesforce platform.
Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices, ensuring our solutions leverage the latest innovations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Salesforce architecture, design, and development.
Proven experience as a Salesforce Architect in large-scale enterprise environments.
Salesforce Architect Certification (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Application Architect, System Architect) is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, including data modeling, integration patterns, and security best practices.
Proficient in Salesforce development languages and tools (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, SOQL, etc.).
Experience with Salesforce integration tools and techniques (Mulesoft, REST/SOAP APIs, ETL tools).
Strong knowledge of cloud computing principles and enterprise architecture frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools for Salesforce (Salesforce DX, Git, Jenkins).
Soft Skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring and guiding technical teams.
