POSITION SUMMARY:
Then Senior Scheduler is responsible for implementation, training, oversight and conducting Project Controls related practices for projects across Mastec Industrial's operational groups.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Subject Matter Expert in Scheduling.
Works independently on complex assignments to: Establish the Proposal or Project Baseline Schedule Lead and execute Project Planning and Execution Planning Session Lead and execute Logic Development, Schedule Updates and Forecasting Work with each phase team (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) to define key milestones and interface dates.
Resource and Commodity load schedules and provide graphics associated with each Author and update the Scheduling narrative in weekly and monthly reports Lead compliance and Project Controls oversight throughout the lifecycle of a project Ensure client Project Controls and Reporting specifications and requirements are met per contract Supports Project Management with project reporting requirements Provides coverage for Project Controls Managers when on leave or vacation.
Provides training and mentorship to the Scheduling Team.
SUPERVISORY: Lead and support a team with multiple people on the Cost Controls team including the Cost Controller I, II, and III.
Manage, lead direct reports, and mentor.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (BS) in Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical major; equivalent combination of education and experience.
10 + years of Project Controls Schedule Analysis or related work experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Workface Planning Techniques and Scheduling requirements a plus.
Professional Level Certification (AACE, PMI or other) a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
Set a personal example of safe behavior.
Take personal responsibility for working toward Mastec Industrial's Zero Injury principles Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, Office 365, InEight and/or related Project Controls software Proficiency in reading and interpreting Engineering and Contract documents.
Understanding and knowledge of Critical Path Scheduling Techniques Organizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous tasks/assignments Exceptional team building skills and ability to collaborate with groups throughout the company Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to comprehend complex assignments Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Other may duties may be assigned Maintain in-depth relations with all members of their team and your supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks.
Stamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals.
Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions.
This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
May need to work at heights and must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights.

HOURS:
This position is a Full-Time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week.
Schedule is subject to projects requirements.
TRAVEL:
Travel required up to 90%.
Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record.
