Job Description This notice is being provided as a result of the filing of an application for permanent alien labor certification for the below job opportunity. Any person may provide documentary evidence bearing on the application to the Certifying Officer of the Department of Labor, at the following address: U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration Office of Foreign Labor Certification 200 Constitution Avenue NW, Room N- 5311 Washington, DC 20210 Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to: Provide production support for extract, transform, load (ETL) applications that run large, distributed batch processing involving petabytes of data. Write scripts to monitor system functionality and performance. Deploy and install the scripts into servers using Jenkins and CICD Pipelines. Perform proactive maintenance activities, engage in automation activities, and perform root cause analysis and remediation. Perform performance tuning of applications. Execute decisive action to preserve and maintain service availability, performance, integrity, capacity, and security. Participate in Root Cause analysis for service failure and provide resolution. Work with ticketing application to manage tickets and maintain SLA and OLA. Drive problem bridges, collaborate, and escalate to resolve problems within tight timeframes. Position reports to the Austin, TX office and may allow for partial telecommuting. Qualifications Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineer-related occupation. Position requires experience in following: Unix or Linux; ETL and Big data analytics using Hadoop; Scala, Python, or Java; Hadoop framework and Bigdata technologies; Kafka and Spark; Shell scripting and SQL; Performance tuning, data fixing, and workload automation; Providing 24x7 support in large batch environment with PB or data; Analyzing code, logics and data flow to investigate issues. Additional Information Worksite: Austin, TX Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel. Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers. U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $105,800.00 USD to $164,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
