Overview:
As a Senior Software Data Engineer, you will play a vital role in advancing our client's data operations, contributing to the development of next-generation data and reporting platforms. Collaborating within an agile team, you will engage in various aspects of data engineering, including pipeline management, ETL processes, and data warehouse architecture. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects, driving insights and forecasting capabilities critical to business decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities: Engage in agile ceremonies such as grooming, planning, and standup, actively contributing to task management and status updates.Develop complex queries, stored procedures, and SSIS packages to facilitate data extraction and transformation.Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to design logical data models and translate them into physical database structures.Utilize modern ETL frameworks, including ADF and MS-SSIS, to architect data pipelines for efficient data flow.Implement best practices in database schema design, including STAR or SNOWFLAKE schemas, to support data warehouse and data mart development.Design and implement data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness.Collaborate with PowerBI developers to optimize database schema and queries for efficient analytics.Participate in design discussions, data analysis, and documentation efforts. Job Requirements: Minimum 7 years of industry experience in data and reporting, preferably with knowledge of healthcare data.Strong proficiency (5+ years) in Datawarehouse, ETL processes, and SQL development.Extensive experience (5+ years) with Microsoft tools such as SSMS, SSIS, and SQL Server.Familiarity (2+ years) with analytics tools like Tableau or PowerBI preferred.Experience (2+ years) working with Azure Cloud, particularly ADF, Azure SQL Server, and Azure Delta Lake.Knowledge of database security concepts and HIPAA compliance preferred.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Base Compensation Range:
$103,400—$130,000 USD
