The Senior Software Developer will play a critical role in shaping our technology solutions to enhance our product suite and ensure they set the bar for quality expectations. Their innovative approach and problem-solving skills will be pivotal in driving our technological advancement in a dynamic, cross-functional setting.
In this central role, the Senior Software Developer will act as a co-pilot and trusted advisor with Engineering Leadership, ensuring our state-of-the-art SaaS solutions are innovatively designed and aligned with our strategic roadmap. Their expertise will guide the development process, contributing significantly to delivering high-quality products that empower nonprofits to excel.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Software Development:Focus on writing code that is clean, maintainable, and efficient.Take the lead in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-quality software.Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to software quality standards.Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems while overseeing code maintenance and organization.Monitor and optimize application performance and scalability for enhanced functionality.Team Collaboration and Mentorship:
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, supporting their professional development.Cultivate a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team to foster growth and innovation.Lead collaborative efforts to ensure team alignment with project objectives and timelines, promoting a cohesive work environment.Stakeholder Communication:
Effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Present complex technical ideas in a clear and persuasive manner to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating understanding and alignment.Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Drive efforts to enhance processes, tools, methodologies, and overall product quality, fostering a culture of innovation and improvement.Conduct research and prototype new technologies to optimize product development and achieve desired business outcomes.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field is preferred.Self-taught career paths are also strongly considered.5+ years of experience in software development, especially in SaaS products is preferred.Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.Preferred technical skills are as follows :
5+ years working with React, NodeJS, ExpressJS.2+ years working in developing CI/CD pipelines.2+ years working with AWS EC2s or other cloud native servers.1+ years working with AWS Lambda and API Gateway.1+ years working with other AWS services or IACExperience with DevOps tools and practices.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Knowledge of database management and architecture.

Remote
Pay Range expected for the position: $90,000-$130,000 annually
