About The RoleAs a Senior Backend Engineer at Mochi Health, you'll be at the heart of our mission to revolutionize personalized healthcare experiences.
You'll lead the development and maintenance of our core systems, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
Collaborating closely with our product and engineering teams, you'll design and implement robust backend solutions that power our platform.
What You'll DoCollaborate with talented engineers to design and develop our backend services, data processing pipelines, and interfaces, driving innovation and efficiencyDevelop user-facing features on the backend to optimize performance and reliability, enhancing the overall user experienceElevate Mochi's backend systems, including the patient record database, high web hook traffic management, third-party integrations, patient scheduling and provider management software, and distributed systems architecture, ensuring they meet the highest standardsMentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support, and participate in code reviews to maintain a culture of engineering excellenceDrive technical decisions and contribute to the strategic direction of our product, shaping its future as we expand and growWho You AreYou hold a BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or you have equivalent work experienceYou bring 5+ years of experience in backend development, demonstrating a deep understanding of backend technologies and best practicesYou have a solid foundation in cloud services, preferably AWS, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, enabling you to architect and manage complex systemsYou have a proven track record of building products and features from scratch to deployment, showcasing your ability to innovate and deliver resultsYou excel in fixing issues and improving performance and maintainability in a codebase at scale, demonstrating your commitment to excellenceYour communication skills are exceptional, both written and verbal, enabling you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teamsYou thrive in a fast-paced, small team environment, where you can make a significant impact and drive meaningful changeExcited about working in-person with our team in San FranciscoSet Yourself Apart WithPrevious experience working on healthcare-related software or a passion for improving healthcare systemsCompany Paid Life Insurance401k with Company matching24 days of PTO and 14 paid company holidaysThe estimated salary for this role is between $200,000/year and $300,000/year.
