The roleWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the SoFi Bank engineering team, who will help build the Commercial Payments platform. This is a newly incubated product and you will be part of a team that has the opportunity to build the product ground-up, shape the technical roadmap, and contribute & learn the payments & bank sponsorship domain.
As a member of the Bank team, you will architect new systems, implement functionality, fix bugs, maintain the health of our systems, and continually grow your skill set. The ideal candidate is both forward-thinking and hands-on, has a solid sense of ownership and drive for delivery, and is a strong team player. At SoFi, we pride ourselves on the collaboration between Product, Design, and Engineering and so you will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through building, deploying, and continual improvement and evolution.
What you'll do:Lead the development and testing of our systems and servicesParticipate in shaping the technical architecture of the productHelp translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutionsDeliver highly available and scalable services in a production environmentMentor other engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the teamGenerate ideas for new initiatives and technologiesCommunicate with project leads, product managers, and other software developersWhat you'll need:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field7+ years of programming experience & designing for consumer-facing applications with stringent scalability/uptime requirements4+ years in Java/ Kotlin/ Spring / AWS / KubernetesExperience with Temporal / Kafka and DynamoDB databaseExperience working on SOA / microservice-based applications.Experience working with GIT and CI/CD systems.Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews, and managing pull requestsExperience scaling highly available, mission-critical systemsA solid understanding of relational databases and ORMsView Unit and Integration test as 1st class citizens in software developmentWillingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others, and get stuff doneSolid sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completionAffinity for solving problems and shipping impactful features, not polishing perfect code or architectureNice to have:Fintech, payments, banking experienceCompensation and BenefitsThe base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location.
Pay range: $128,000.00 - $240,000.00
Payment frequency: Annual
