Electronic Warfare division in Goleta, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer [Embedded] to be an active participant on the software development team, working with cutting edge technologies in products that protect our warfighter.? What you will do: Participate in software design and development, as well as supporting system integration and test, all using the established Raytheon engineering processes and practices. Applying and developing advanced methodologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts related to EW algorithms and embedded processing for real time systems. The individual may also be called upon to provide flight test and field support, which offers the engineer unique insights into the importance our EW products have to the warfighter. Work as part of a multi-disciplined team where there are experienced engineers to provide mentoring and support. Use modular design approaches and/or agile software development techniques for a high quality, supportable software system. Maintain Secret Clearance. Qualifications you must have: Minimum of 5 years professional experience in software development using OO languages. Experience with developing, testing, and integrating software using C/C++. Experience using software source control tools and automated build environments. Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred). Qualifications We Prefer: Experience developing software products for Radar or Electronic Warfare domains. Experience with embedded system concepts such as preemptive, multitasking real-time OS. Experience with OOA/D and UML or similar design language/notation Experience with developing, testing, and integrating software in a DoD environment using C / C++. Experience with Software Architecture, signal processing, or related engineering activities Familiarity with Agile or working knowledge of lifecycle processes including Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Model based development. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
