This role will require being full-time onsite at our San Francisco office to support collaborative team dynamics and innovative problem-solving. Responsibilities: Design and build strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and services to power our financial services: clearing and settlement, digital asset lending, trading and liquidityOwn functionality and scalability features by taking responsibility from inception to deployment and customer integrationExpose and document functionality to the UI, third-party developers, and our internal and external toolingCollaborate closely with all engineering teams to ensure consistency in understanding of technical requirements and overall work qualityProvide mentorship to your peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practicesSkills & Experience: We are looking for teammates who share and practice our values: open communication, transparency, taking ownership, and a high level of craftsmanship.

Required 5+ years of back-end, server-side software developmentExperience with functional programmingExperience developing or supporting financial accounting systems, such as general ledger and bookkeeping functionsFamiliarity with digital asset trading, lending, and/or walletsGreat at algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysisStrong experience with server-side languages like TypeScript/Node.JSStrong experience with SQL databases like Postgres or MySQLStrong experience with RESTful API designExperience with unit and functional testing and debuggingExperience with microservices and service-oriented architecturesExperience in Git/GitHub and branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, JIRA, Confluence, etc.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentComfortable with inclusion in on-call rotations for system supportPreferred Experience in Financial Services and/or Financial TechnologyExperience with asynchronous programmingAbility to work full-stack and familiarity with ReactExperience with large-scale, real-time, and distributed applicationsExperience working with clients and/or business partnersUnderstanding and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain industryWhy Join BitGo? Pay Transparency Notice: Depending upon your leveling and location, the compensation for this role averages between $165,000 - $210,000 USD base salary.
