The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for an experienced developer to join us as a Senior Software Engineer in our growing Accelerator team to build the GPU/Accelerator infrastructure that supports AI/ML and GPU compute hardware.
In this role, you will help build, support, develop and maintain the GPU and Accelerator-related components on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
You will work across the Red Hat organization to create the foundation for our layered products such as RHEL AI and Red Hat OpenShift AI.
You will concentrate on the GPU/Accelerator drivers that extend from Linux kernel through the user-space Accelerator frameworks, such as OneAPI and ROCm, with an initial emphasis on the kernel aspects.
You will be a key part of our GPU and Accelerators organization that integrates hardware support for the components throughout the AI/ML stack.
What you will do: Build, support, develop and maintain the GPU/Accelerator infrastructure and device drivers for AI/ML and GPU compute workloadsParticipate in and collaborate with the GPU/Accelerator upstream communities and partners, including working directly with the hardware vendors engineersOptimize the GPU/Accelerator infrastructure and device drivers to maximize the performance of the stackWork closely with key stakeholders within Red Hat who will use the infrastructure you build to accelerate AI/ML frameworksTriage and fix driver and userspace issuesDevelop functional and regression test casesWhat you will bring: University degree in computer science or equivalent job experienceHighly proficient in C and C++ languagesFamiliarity with the internals of the accelerators frameworks, such as oneAPI, ROCm or CUDAStrong English written and verbal communication and organizational skillsThe following is considered a plus: Experience with accelerators APIs and frameworks such as ROCm, Intel One API, CUDA, OpenCL, etc.Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorchExperience with python and python common tooling librariesExperience with containers building systems, and container tooling such as Docker, Podman, etc.Experience with agile principles and tools (Jira, Confluence or similar technologies)The salary range for this position is $127,890.00 - $211,180.00.
