As a Senior Software Engineer at Community Choice Credit Union, you will play a key role in designing, developing, maintaining and implementing cutting-edge financial software solutions for a variety of business and member solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of software engineering best practices, system architecture, and credit union operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive high-impact projects and ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability, to ensure our software platforms, meet the highest standards of performance. What You'll Be Responsible For: Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions aligned with business requirements. Collaborate with product owners to understand technical needs and ensure project goals are met within the defined timelines. System Architecture: Design and implement system architecture that supports the growth and complexity of the credit union's operations, ensuring long-term stability and flexibility. System Analysis & Optimization: Analyze existing systems, recommend and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency, security, and scalability of software platforms, including cloud environments and databases. Code Review & Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices, driving continuous improvement in software performance and reliability. Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including code structures, workflows, and system interactions, to ensure the transparency and sustainability of ongoing development efforts. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement API integrations, ensure data accuracy, and support interoperability between internal and third-party systems. Who We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Eight to ten years of professional software development experience. with at least three years in a senior role. Proficiency in modern programming languages such as: C#, .NET, Python, and various JavaScript frameworks. Experience with Azure cloud platform, API design and integration, and working with SQL databases. Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of system architecture, security best practices, and troubleshooting/debugging techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
