Position Overview: We have an exciting opportunity at Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC (PlayStation). Our software production organization seeks a software engineer for our Platform Audio team. This team is a trailblazer in audio technology. Efforts here will contribute to the development of system libraries used for both our current and next generation PlayStation products. You will drive the design and implementation of technology used for 3D audio, hardware DSP, and virtual reality. Responsibilities: Experience with systems programming and debugging using C and C++Multi-threaded programmingAbility to understand users' requirements and drive integrationLead architecture design and development of audio systems and frameworksCollaborate with international counterparts to realize project and department goalsQualifications Required: Min. of 5 years systems level programming using C and C++Capable of writing clear and efficient C and C++ code with appropriate memory management, object-oriented design, and hardware specific performance optimizations.Familiarity with operating system concepts such as threading, system calls, and interrupt handling.Basic understanding of source control systems and software build systems.
