About the Role
The engineering team at Xaira is looking for a senior software engineer to join a fast-paced team working on a variety of initiatives critical to moving our AI-enabled drug discovery platform forward.
We are a small, pragmatic team and you will find yourself:
Collaborating with world experts in AI and Life sciences regularly.Shipping code daily, with a culture of learning from mistakes and iterating quickly.Being expected and empowered to work autonomously.Coming onsite to our office (and lab!)

Compute infrastructure provisioning and optimization for AI science and model training.Scientific code and research engineering for accelerating scientific progress.Large scale AI model inference and tooling.Data warehousing and transport for large biological datasets.Lab information management and supporting automation engineering.Qualifications B.S.
in Computer Science or related field6+ years of experience as a software engineerSolid experience with Python, git, and cloud computingGeneral experience with backend development, bonus points for FastAPI, and experience with a variety of different persistence technologies.Experience with data warehousing and batch processing technologies like Spark, Iceberg, Trino, etc.Familiarity with PyTorch and writing software for ML.Compensation

The base pay range for this position is expected to be $140,000 to $200,000 annually; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the market, job-related knowledge, skills and capabilities, and experience.
