POSITION OVERVIEW: Our client, located near the Warrenville, IL area, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. This company, an Information Technology software firm in the finance industry, is growing and turning to us for help. This company prides themselves on having a team environment and collaborating with each other. They are currently looking for an outstanding Senior Software Engineer. The right candidate will be a go-getter who strives to grow and do research and continue to learn. This role is currently remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with team members and customers to gather details to design, implement and rollout enhancements
- Execute theance tune queries, including SQL Server's built-in tools for analysis, understanding query plans, understanding database internals and interpreting results
- Know Kimball dimensional modeling principles and be able to apply them
- Master new technology effectively to meet project requirements
- Lead project implementations and provide direction to team members as needed
- Execute the Data Connector installations and support Data Connectors
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of software and systems experience
- Knowledgeable on relational database technology and Kimball dimensional modeling concepts, Microsoft SQL Server platform preferred
- Advanced knowledge of T-SQL
- Experience with at least 2 programming languages (C#, Java, PowerShell, VB.NET, etc.)
- Experience writing software components that are utilized by other software developers
- Experience in developing and deploying applications in a Windows environment
