As the Internationalization team, our mission is to make Apple's products accessible to our customers all around the world. We are looking for a software engineer who is passionate about languages, someone who is empathetic and wants to create solutions for customers across a wide variety of languages and locales!

Our mission is to make the input experience—using Keyboard, Dictation, Apple Pencil, etc.—more inclusive and accessible for everyone, regardless of what languages they use or what background they come from. In this role, you will:
Write code for Input Methods for various languages such as Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Tamil, Vietnamese, etc.Design and develop Keyboard Layouts for over 100 languages.Work at the forefront of the user experience for input coupled with Apple Intelligence, including Writing Tools.Collaborate with different teams—such as Accessibility, Hardware, Human Interface, NLP, Privacy, etc.—to solve both design and engineering challenges and ensure that the next generation of experiences can reach all Apple customers.Contribute to the wider internationalization community both within and outside of Apple, such as the open-source CLDR project.Minimum Qualifications
Strong object-oriented programming and design skills. In-depth development experience at the application and user interface level with Swift or/and Objective-C.5+ years of increasing responsibility and relevant experience.Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, or a closely related field.Preferred Qualifications
Passion for language and for improving Apple's products.Familiarity with internationalization and Unicode.Deep knowledge of UI and framework development in iOS/macOS.Performance analysis and tuning experience including memory usage, CPU utilization, leak checking, etc.Ability to effectively contribute to several concurrent projects.Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment.At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
