About the Position We are looking for an experienced platform-focused software engineer to join our Merchant Platform team in San Francisco to help build a scalable platform that will help power the suite of Parafin's financial offerings. The Merchant Platform team owns the money movement infrastructure that powers all of Parafin as well as the suite of product-agnostic tools that enable product teams to delight the customers. You will work with engineering and non-engineering stakeholders across the company to launch several new products and regularly experiment with our existing products to improve the end-user experience. You will own our core platform and help identify, prioritize, and execute on infrastructure opportunities to accelerate product development and maintain high levels of reliability.
What You'll Be Doing: You will own significant pieces of our merchant platform infrastructure and help drive new initiatives.
You will help identify, architect, and lead infrastructure investments in our core merchant platform to accelerate product development and fortify our systems.
You will work with stakeholders across the company to improve on our internal tooling, monitoring, alerting, and overall reliability of the system.
What We're Searching For: 4+ years of experience working in a backend engineering role.
You care deeply about building high-quality software and take immense pride in your craft.
You are comfortable owning and driving the development of platform initiatives from scratch.
You take the initiative to identify commonalities between different problem statements and design appropriate abstractions accordingly.
You have a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals.
You are excited about working on a small team and helping us set the foundations for the company.
