SUMMARY: TRABUS has an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to support NAVWAR Cloud Environments using Red Hat and AWS.
This role involves leveraging the combined strengths of Red Hat's open-source technologies and AWS's scalable cloud infrastructure to meet NAVWAR's mission-critical requirements.
This approach helps deliver secure, compliant, and agile cloud solutions that align with DoD mandates.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the operational cloud environment is designed to meet NAVWAR's specific operational requirements, including security, scalability, and reliability.Utilize cloud services (such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) to improve operational efficiency and reduce IT overhead.Implement robust security measures like encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and continuous monitoring to protect sensitive data.Manage workloads across multi-cloud environments while ensuring compliance with policies.Support the migration of legacy systems and applications to the cloud.Ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions with existing NAVWAR infrastructure, including networks, databases, and communications systems.REQUIREMENTS: 7-9 years' experience in the analysis, development and support of computer software for DOD computer automated systems.4-6 years' experience working with containerization, Red Hat and/or AWS cloud infrastructure.Minimum of 4 years' experience in object-oriented analysis and design.Ability to develop/document/implement new processes.Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.Excellent written and oral communications skills.Detail oriented.QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with Ansible automation platform.Experience with Red Hat and one (or multiple) certifications – RH Systems Administrator, RH Certified Engineer, Red Hat Certified in Containers, or OpenShift Admin, ORExperience with AWS and one (or multiple) certifications – AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, or AWS Certified Solutions Engineer.EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or Math from an accredited college or university.Master's degree in any of the preceding disciplines may be substituted for one year of general experience.BENEFITS: Paid Time Off.Holidays.Health Insurance.Dental Insurance.Vision Insurance.Flexible Spending Account.401(k).Life AD&D.US citizenship and a final DoD adjudicated Secret Clearance are required.
