Vicarious Surgical is hiring a Senior Software Test Engineer to join its growing Software Test Team.
Working closely with the Integration team, this critical team member will play a crucial role in driving test development efforts for the software that controls our novel surgical robot, for which we are in aggressive product development mode.
As a Senior Test Engineer on this team, you will develop and execute manual and automated test procedures for our surgical robot system.
You will work in a diverse team of software engineers in an agile development environment reviewing requirements, user stories and developing and executing acceptance tests for those requirements and documenting results.

ResponsibilitiesDeveloping test scenarios, test protocols and test scriptsExecuting manual and automated software test procedures to verify requirementsIdentifying the tests for Manual and Automated testing and plan the overall test and regression suiteParticipate in requirements review for testabilityImplement continuous testing during Sprint and regression testing at appropriate milestones during developmentReport defects, tracking re-verification and closingPlan and Perform formal software V & V testing during the V & V phaseSupport early testing and assist scrum teams in determining key findings and collaborate to enhance the overall system's designDevelop verification and validation of test tools where required and in advance of formal DV schedulesSupport technical reviews and participate in system design reviewsParticipate and own the development of testing infrastructure for Manual as well as Automated TestsAbout YouBachelors or equivalent in any scientific or technical field5+ years of experience in software testing of complex electromechanical device in the medical device industryStrong command over IEC62304 and excellent familiarity with TIR45Keen attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work very well with geographically distributed teamsHas worked in an Agile/Scrum environmentNice to HavePrevious experience with C/C++/Python or JavaExperience with RTI DDS, QNX and SafeRTOSPrior experience testing robotic software systems within the medical/surgical robotics spaceExperience with test management tools like Jama or similarPrevious verification or validation experience in medical device projects from early development through commercializationTogether, we share a love for learning and we are passionate teachers.
