Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek an experienced and engaging Sr. Specialist, Culture and Equity (C&E) to support progress toward our strategic goals of becoming a Great Place to Work for All and further Embedding Equity within the DNA of our Culture. This impactful individual contributor is a critical partner to the Director, Culture & Equity and Manager, Culture and Equity, providing project administrative project support, project management of various C&E workstreams, coordination of affiliate partner requests, communications, event/training scheduling and virtual session tech support (i.e., Zoom, Google Meet). 
Purpose: Reporting to the Director, C&E, the Sr. Specialist, Culture & Equity supports progress toward our strategic goals of attracting, developing, and retaining top talent and becoming a Great Place to Work for All. This individual actively supports the delivery of a portfolio of interventions, projects, programs, services, events, etc., designed to foster an inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued, seen, and heard. 
Delivery: • Provides engaging and inclusive project support across all Culture & Equity workstreams. 
• Owns the "hierarchy building" and data entry process associated with the Great Places to Work survey. 
• Follows SOPs and workstream charters to provide end-to-end support on C&E projects. 
• Serves on PCE work streams as appointed.
• Coordinates resources necessary for affiliate accreditation support for Senior Director, People, Culture & Equity and Director, Culture & Equity. 
• Maintains the Culture & Equity team's SOPs, Google Drive, Asana Board, and other project management and knowledge capture tools.  
• Coordinates support related to the organization's Trust & Psychological Safety (Trust For All) initiative.
• Serves as super-user of Emprising System and provides tech support to leaders attempting to access their GPTW survey results. 
• Provides administrative support and coordination for Trust for All cohorts. 
• Jumps in as needed to assist ERGs as directed by Manager, Culture & Equity. 
• Partners with the Senior Specialist, Learning & Development, to compile results from learning assessments and produce reports to help inform decision-making. 
• Builds and maintains relationships with the People, Culture and Equity team, National Office leaders, affiliate staff and leaders, and other stakeholders at various organizational levels to increase engagement with Culture and Equity offerings and services. 
• Assists with the planning and execution of the annual PCE division retreat by serving as DEI SME with an eye specifically on accessibility and inclusivity. 
• Model a commitment to the In This Together (ITT) ethos by building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the federation. 
Engagement: • Serves as a key partner to Director, C&E, and Manager, C&E.
• Builds trusting, strong, and collaborative relationships with People & Culture Business Partners, broader PCE team, ERG leaders, leaders, and staff at all levels across the National Office to advance the critical learning and development priorities for the organization. 
• Partners with internal and external DEI partners to ensure equitable strategies and procedures within work. 
• Demonstrates a commitment to race equity. Maintains current knowledge of PPFA's work toward enhanced race equity standards, is held accountable to them, and holds their team members accountable. 
• Demonstrates commitment to and embodiment of gender, racial, and reproductive justice values and demonstrates the ability to apply those values to leadership programs.
• Continuously maintains professional growth and learning by attending conferences, seminars, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, instructional design/technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in any combination of Learning & Development, Organizational Development, & Human Resources, preferably within a large and/or federated not-for-profit organization.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives in collaboration with other functional areas.
• Demonstrated commitment to Planned Parenthood's mission, vision, and values.
• Experience implementing training curricula & education for adult learners
related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. 
• Base knowledge of core diversity concepts, including power and privilege, systems of oppression, emotional intelligence, implicit bias, etc.
• Demonstrated experience successfully working with a broad spectrum of people from
various identities and experiences.
• Knowledge of global trends in Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, and Workplace Culture and can apply to learning solutions.
• Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to: • Work under pressure on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Be an engaged listener with the ability to build consensus both within and outside the organization.
• Interpret and apply organizational policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriate. 
• Execute strong visual design and comfort with various presentation tools (i.e., Powerpoint, Canva, Excel)
• Apply Instructional Design Methodology (i.e., ADDIE) and Adult Learning Principles
• Apply a Human-Centered Design approach
• Coordinate and manage projects using various tools (i.e., Asana, Miro, etc)
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Work in a hybrid work environment.
• Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and values-aligned manner. 
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships. 
• Solve problems, analyze information and data, and manage projects.
• Exercise a high degree of judgment and diplomacy and maintain confidentiality.
Travel:  0-20%, domestically

\n$72,000 - $78,000 a year
\nTotal offer package to include generous vacation + sick leave + paid holidays, individual/family provided medical, dental and vision benefits effective day 1, life insurance, short/long term disability, paid family leave and 401k. We also offer voluntary opt-in for Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Transportation/Commuter accounts.
