JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting Scheduling Manager in assigning responsibilities and providing direction to Scheduling Specialists. Ensures schedules, timecards, and scanned documents are completed accurately and efficiently by providing a level of leadership in the workstation.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides direction to the Scheduling Specialists and oversees the daily operation. Assists in maintaining training documents and in the training and development of new Scheduling Specialists.
Completes a weekly schedule for assigned areas using the scheduling database. Balances business need and team member availability to provide schedules that minimize overtime and report pay. Maintains and Adjusts schedules per Policy/Procedure as needed based on attendance levels, special events, call-ins, and other factors. Works with venue management and schedulers to ensure team members are utilized at the levels they are trained for and provides recommendations for additional training to increase par levels based on venue needs. Assists in the compilation of department labor information for the company Flash report. Provides historic scheduling and training data to management as needed.
Ensures that the Scheduling Specialists follow established Policies and Practices relating to scheduling and time cards are being followed, escalates issues as necessary. Assists the team with the daily maintenance/weekly review of team member time sheets. Files and maintains physical copies of department reports (i.e. daily variances, weekly timesheets and weekly schedules). Retrieves records as needed, provides weekly labor reporting to park leaders, and assist the Scheduling Manager in evaluating hiring plans, based on current trends observed by the team.
Assist the Scheduling Manager in planning and forecasting staffing requirements by providing insights into current scheduling trends, line schedule requirements, and planned events to build optimum work schedules for approximately 3000 Attractions Operations Team Members.
Acts as the scheduling liaison to venue management relating to scheduling and specific pay practices/policies. Assists park leadership by providing information about forecasting, staffing, and labor modeling while developing strong relationships with venue leaders at all levels.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED.
EXPERIENCE:
1+ year scheduling experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
