We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team.
The Senior Staff Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end close processes, and assisting with accounting related transactions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Senior Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
•Work closely with billing, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate recording of service-related transactions.
•Setup customer maintenance agreements to ensure proper billing and accounting.
•Monitor and manage renewal process for maintenance agreements.
•Perform monthly contract billing for customers and submit invoices to customers per their requirements (email, customer portals, pay apps, etc.).
•Work with Account and Project Managers to set up service projects.
•Collaborate with sales and operations teams to validate service completion and billing accuracy.
•Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries.
•Work with management to review and analyze the profitability of service projects and maintenance agreements.
•Review general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries and adjusting journal entries.
•Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
•Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
•Prepare journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
•Meet processing and reporting deadlines.
•Assist with Ad-hoc reporting and special projects.
Requirements
Senior Staff Accountant Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
•2 or more years of accounting-related experience.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Working knowledge of Accounting and GAAP.
•Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office software tools.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
•Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
