FabFitFun is looking for a Senior Staff Engineer to join our Engineering Team! This position will report to our SVP, Technology. Ideal candidates love to design, build, and operate frontend platforms.
Location: While FFF HQ is based in Los Angeles, CA, this role will be eligible for remote hire in the following states: CA, CT, FL, NY, OH, TX
What You'll Do:Help define the architectural strategy for the frontend platform and contribute to architectural vision for our frontend at largeReview code and provide technical feedback to team membersBuild services and tooling to streamline the design/development hand-offBuild-out and maintain the Frontend team's CI pipelineMentor and coach less experienced engineers on the teamHelp define standards and best practices on your team for testing, software delivery, observability, and so onAttend critical team meetings like stand up and sprint planningWrite technical documentationEncourage a culture of experimentation, prototyping and brainstorming across technical teamsAdvocate for new technology and design patterns where you believe they can help power the businessAdvocate for flexible, domain-driven solutions that balance expediency with long-term flexibilityWhat You'll Bring8+ years of experience as a software engineer, with hands-on experience in CI pipelines and frontend toolingYou have a lot of experience with the JavaScript ecosystem; specifically around build systems, testing frameworks, React, and TypeScriptExperience with the GitHub CI ecosystem and familiarity with AWSBonus points: DataDog, server-side rendered applications, and maintaining monoreposAutomation has become a core value for you, and your systems can operate in production for long periods without human interventionYou prefer highly-observable systems as opposed to console.logs in production-deployed codeAdhere to best-practices in terms of React and the larger JavaScript ecosystem
