As a Senior Strategic Finance Associate, you'll work to: Support all parts of the organization by providing clean, consistent data and financial analysisDeliver high-quality monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term forecastingLead recurring BvA analysis and deliver monthly/quarterly analysisAutomate and consolidate reporting of the business' financial results, including variances to plan, ensuring key issues, risks, and business drivers are understood and highlightedProvide analytical support, develop actionable insights, and proactively partner and collaborate with business stakeholders to better understand risks and opportunitiesDevelop financial business cases to support investment decisionsPartner across Strategic Finance to continuously improve processes and tools to drive scaleCoordinate with Accounting to ensure accuracy of actuals in all internal reporting toolsPromote vision/strategy around processes and systems to help support scale in a high-growth environmentBe an expert in financial modeling and quantitative analysis, enjoying solving complex and unstructured problemsPossess a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functions and effectively influence senior business partnersThe Team You'll Work WithYou'll be joining our Strategic Finance Team as a Senior Finance Associate.This is a high-impact role on the Strategic Finance team supporting our R&D, G&A, and Sales and Marketing Platform organizations, generating insights into business performance, and providing Carta's leadership team with effective decision-making support. In this role, you'll be part of a highly dynamic team supporting the growth of Carta and the creation of the future of private capital markets, and be a key business partner to our department leaders.About YouYou are personable, approachable, and able to collaborate constructively with each and every person on the team and throughout the businessCapable of operating independently, managing relationships, deliverables, and expectations with business partnersBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business3+ years of FP&A, Accounting, or Finance experience in the technology industry; familiarity with the software industry (and SaaS) is a plusExperience supporting G&A teams in a Finance or Operations roleExperience in Headcount and Capacity Planning is a plusStrong financial modeling skills and quantitative analysis abilitiesStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principlesAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, quickly changing environmentAttention to detail and the highest standards for accuracy and precisionExperience with systems such as Netsuite, Coupa, Workday, Salesforce, G-Suite, Office, etc.Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations, especially for executivesAt Carta, you're not just an employee. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:$125,000 - $148,000 in San Francisco Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
