Under general supervision, supervise, coordinate and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate Supervisors.
Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedulesProvide Operations input for production and maintenance planningEnsure adherence to correct safety and operating procedures and compliance with appropriated federal and state laws and regulationsInspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attainedCoordinate daily with other Operational and staff areas, including but not limited to Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and SalesDirectly supervise first-line or shift SupervisorsPerform other duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, ORBachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline and three (3) years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experienceAdditional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be requiredKnowledge of supervisory methods and techniquesSkilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projectsSkilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administrationAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingPreferred Supervisor experience of Smelter Operations and Maintenance activitiesExperience and knowledge collaborating and communicating with multiple departmentsExperience conducting hands-on training and mentoringExperience leading and participating in site safety and environmental practicesWhat We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $98,000-$137,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
