Our client has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Senior Supply Chain Planner to join their corporate team in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This role is essential for managing critical production components in support of production schedules, while actively driving process improvements and cost reductions.
In this role, every day brings new challenges and opportunities. Youll play a key part in ensuring the success of production through procurement, vendor management, and strategic planning.
Key ** Manage critical production components that significantly impact the company (difficult to source, high value, space intensive, etc.).Procure goods and services such as MRO, raw materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.Analyze forecasts, actual demand, and inventory to make recommendations to manufacturing teams.Collaborate with production to implement and adjust production schedules.Evaluate vendors for performance against established specifications and maintain scorecards.Develop and oversee SOP procedures for the procurement department, including training initiatives.Review bid proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure they fall within budgetary and authority limitations.Maintain item costs, lead times, and vendor information in ERP systems (Sage/MAS 500). Strong attention to detail with a high sense of urgency.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, data consolidation, and reporting).Solid understanding of ERP/MRP systems.Strong negotiation skills and experience in sourcing products and working with vendors to achieve cost savings.Proven ability to clearly communicate departmental goals and objectives with ownership and senior management.A drive to constantly improve processes and a desire for professional growth within the company.College degree preferred, but 5-10 years of progressive experience in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management is highly valued. *** Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with a 100% match up to 5% of salaryVacation and personal time off (PTO)7 paid holidays annuallyThis is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career with a forward-thinking company that values innovation and efficiency.
