The SkyGrid team is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support activities across the company portfolio. In doing so, you will take on a key role in defining and architecting SkyGrid's systems across the Systems Engineering "V", including requirements development, use case developing, functional architecture development, certification, and supporting verification and validation planning. You will work with engineers of multiple disciplines as well as Integrated Product Team leads, other systems engineers, program managers, and the Chief Engineer. Success in this role requires a combination of technical skills, soft skills, and leadership experience.
\n Performance Objectives:Lead and execute on critical systems engineering activities for one or more SkyGrid systems through Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews.Support the development of the System/Subsystem Design Description documents and update the System design(s) and architecture(s) accordingly in relation to the Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews.Coordinate activities with other team members and supervise/review the work of junior staff. Responsibilities:Advance and support system development activities including planning, requirements, design, implementation, verification, and validation.Lead or support compliance with ARP-4754A development practices and produce necessary artifacts.Guide and support system design compliance with certification, cyber security, quality, and safety standards.Assist the SE Manager in the continuous improvement of the system engineering processes and methodologies. Support all SE aspects of project planning, scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.Provide executive status reports to leadership as required during weekly status checks and monthly PMRs. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree from an accredited university or college.7+ years of experience working in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry.5+ years of experience working in a Systems Engineering position.Familiarity with all phases of the SE design process: ConOps, requirements development, software / system Architecture, system Integration and test, Verification and Validation.Experience with ARP 4754A and ability to support System Safety reviews per ARP 4761.
