Imagining, inventing, and implementing cutting-edge manufacturing technologies
Leading hardware development initiatives for next-generation Ford vehicles
Managing complex projects involving varied technologies, including low-level and server-side programming
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and problem-solving
Implementing novel solutions on pre-release hardware platforms

Collaborate with engineering teams: Work with design, firmware, and software engineers, translating product requirements into hardware specifications. Use your expertise to inform design decisions and ensure alignment with product goals.
Participate in design reviews.
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors for equipment, integrators, and fabricators. Negotiate contracts, manage timelines, and ensure quality control. Your experience managing vendor relationships in high-profile projects will be essential.
Hardware Integration Support: Provide guidance on integrating hardware components into systems. Review schematics, layouts, and designs, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and cost targets. Your hands-on experience with installations will be invaluable.
Prototyping and Testing: Oversee prototyping, working with vendors to create functional prototypes of systems and custom hardware. Develop and execute test plans to validate performance, using your experience to anticipate potential issues.
Project Management: Manage hardware aspects of product development projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Your experience managing projects, including budget oversight and tight timelines, will be directly applicable.
Stay Up-to-Date: Maintain knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies within the space, particularly large-scale installations, interactive exhibits, and custom hardware.

Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience in systems integration and project management (10+ years preferred).
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Understanding of hardware design, installation techniques, and best practices.
Experience with custom hardware solutions.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
Experience with project management methodologies.
Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing hardware.
Familiarity with CAD software (Sketchup/AutoCAD).
Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
