A leading firm dedicated to providing exceptional tax and financial services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join its dynamic team. In this role, the Senior Tax Accountant will play a critical role in growing the business by displaying an "all hands on deck" attitude. This role involves working closely with the founding CPA to support the preparation of tax returns, client management, and the growth of the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax preparation, planning, and research, along with a commitment to providing excellent client service. This individual should be motivated to stay up to date on new laws and regulations related to tax planning and stay updated with industry trends to ensure proper compliance.
\n What You'll DoCompletes specific individual and entity accounting tasks and responsibilities (data analysis, work paper preparation, tax returns, etc.), consistently adhering to established professional standards and best practices. Proactively and thoroughly identifies and resolves tax-related issues and questions through independent research and team counsel. Takes professional responsibility for ensuring currency of professional competency in established and changing industry standards, including tax laws and issues, including IRS courts and other regulatory bodies. Proactively works with clients and other team members to ensure complete and timely collection of all necessary information. Enthusiastically engages and embodies the company's core value of seeking to delight our clients. Maintains a friendly, professional tone and posture in all communication with clients, whether face-to-face, by phone, or in writing. Consistently and effectively uses approved FTP tools for all scheduling, task management, and client contact documentation. Regularly connects with current clients, according to current company standards, to build/deepen relationships. What You NeedMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong background in financial reporting and tax compliance. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree preferredCPA is preferred but may not be required if the candidate is currently sitting for exams or is an Enrolled Agent. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Axcess, or similar platforms). Actively looks for opportunities to contribute ideas and opinions to the engagement teams. Strong organizational skills including but not limited to Time Management, Prioritizing, Multi-tasking, and Orderly process. Ideal candidates will consistently be professional in appearance and manner. Displays a desire to grow, learn, and develop professionally. Teachable willing to accept direction and correction.
