Senior Tax AccountantAbout the Organization & Opportunity - Senior Tax Accountant Our client is a well established professional services firm with locations across the tri-state area as well as the eastern seaboard They are a growing, family-owned company that cares about its employees Regular work hours provide for great work/life balance; this role will be sitting out of their office in Midtown, Manhattan Position offers opportunity for advancement and promotion Competitive salary with an annual discretionary bonus, strong benefits including three health care plan options Role Responsibilities - Senior Tax Accountant Prepare and review workpapers for both internal and external tax return preparation Filings for individuals, partnerships, trusts, s-corporations & private foundations Participate in short and long-term income & estate tax planning, tax credit utilization & other ad-hoc projects Review tax returns prepared by internal and external accounting firms Work with the internal accounting staff: review depreciation, amortization, tax capital & other tax focused schedules in preparation of year-end financial reporting Assist with annual compliance and responses to audit and inquiry notices from various taxing jurisdictions Preferred Qualifications - Senior Tax Accountant BA Degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field 5+ years of progressive experience in taxation accounting experience working with high-net worth individual and/or real estate industry concentration is a plus Proficient in Excel, accounting, and tax preparation software CPA is a plus
