SENIOR TAX MANAGER
Location: Miami, FL (hybrid)
Are you the perfect candidate to join our client's team as a Senior Tax MGR?
Our client, a leading company in the telecommunications industry, is looking for someone to lead and manage telecommunication tax processes with precision and insight!
Your mission:Take charge of tax compliance, financial reporting, and strategic tax planning while ensuring the organization's adherence to U.S. and international tax regulations.
What you will do:Tax Compliance and FilingOversee the timely filing of U.S. income tax returns considering international telecommunication services with external tax advisors.Complete in-house telecom tax and fee returns, such as state telecom utility gross receipts tax and similar filings, ensuring timely tax payments.Lead the telecommunication transaction tax exemption process.Tax Accounting and ReportingPerform tax accounting analysis for transaction taxes collected and remitted.Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures.Manage worldwide reporting for uncertain tax positions (FIN 48).U.S.
Federal and State Tax PreparationAssist in preparing U.S. federal and state income tax returns, including domestic and international components like book-to-tax difference computations, foreign tax credits, and earnings computations.Coordinate with external advisors for accurate and timely filing of forms (e.g., 5471, 8858).Balance Sheet and Sales Tax ReconciliationPrepare reconciliations of domestic and foreign tax-related balance sheet accounts.Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax filings in collaboration with external advisors.Insights and CollaborationCreate comprehensive and insightful analytics summaries for management review.Build collaborative working relationships across the organization to streamline tax-related processes.RequirementsBilingual in Spanish and English (a must) for effective communication in an international setting.Knowledge of Puerto Rico and USVI tax filings.
(This role will include reviewing taxes at the LATAM level, with a particular focus on tax filings in Puerto Rico.
