The Senior Technical Assistant (WCC) is responsible for the following duties:
Technical support for end-users for hardware, software, and peripherals via phone, chat, email, or in-person. Provide end-user training for classroom technology that includes projection, audio systems, IP-based cameras, flat panel displays, and interactive devices. A strong understanding of signal flow. Respond to user calls regarding audio/visual equipment issues in classrooms. Responsible for submitting service tickets. Perform installation, maintenance, and relocation of audio/visual equipment. Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of classroom equipment for instructional purposes. Track audio/visual equipment inventory and input the data into an enterprise software system. Support college events with audio/visual equipment and IP-based videoconferencing/streaming applications. Supervise subordinate staff as necessary. Lift equipment that may weigh up to 50 lbs. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a high school or equivalency diploma and at least three years of experience in the field where a primary function of the position was the installation, operation, and maintenance of audio/visual equipment. The successful candidate must be proficient in and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Strong communication, written, organizational, and presentation skills are required. The incumbent must also be able to work independently. Experience with various equipment including but not limited to cable testers, punch-down tools, wire cutters, projectors, cameras, and encoders is necessary. Proficiency in IP and Mac addresses, PCs, classroom infrastructure, Apple Desktops, and networked audio/visual equipment is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: It is strongly preferred that the successful candidate possess a valid driver's license. Proficiency in some or all of the following: YouTube Livestreaming service, Microsoft Teams, Panasonic Projectors/Cameras, network protocols, wireless microphones, and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is also preferred.
